Commonly found in the desert regions of the United States, this type of hardwood has many differences when compared to typical American woods such as cherry or oak. Straight pieces are typically not cut from this type of wood and ones that are longer than 6 feet are also uncommon. Perhaps most noticeably though is its distinct color palette (which includes dark browns) and irregularities including blemishes and twisty knots-- all which make each piece unique!
